New Review: Landbrot

by

For this week’s review, I visited Landbrot in the West Village (the opening of a sister location in the Lower East Side had been delayed several times over the last few months, but it finally opened this past weekend).

The German bakery sells traditional rye breads, a wide range of granny-chic pastries, great pretzels that are served warm with soft butter, and some decent, though not excellent, German cafe fare (I was excited about the Flammkuchen, but would have preferred a smaller portion, topped more generously).
