NEW YORK, NY — Tourists, visitors and New Yorkers looking to relax at Governors Island were able to enjoy the New York Gotham Base Ball Club playing a series of games on August 29, 2015.
The New York Gotham Base Ball Club is part of a group of vintage baseball clubs that “strives to present base ball’s history to others by playing base ball as it was done in the past.”
Each team is based on a historical team. The Gothams, based on the 1865 Gothams who went on to become the National League’s Giants, were founded in 2002.
