If all goes according to plan, by the time this paper hits the streets Drake’s sophomore LP Take Care will be the biggest record in the country. And while Trey Songz doesn’t appear on any of the record’s 18 tracks, none would be possible without him as it was Drake’s two features on Trey’s 2009 Ready that exposed the rapper to the biggest audience of his nascent career, and Trey’s brooding, minor-key mixtapes like Anticipation that opened the lane through which Drake would eventually steamroll. Tonight, Trey mixes those slow jams with party anthems like the Nicki MinajÐfeaturing “Bottoms Up” in a Black Friday workout.
