Thousands of people met in Central Park on Saturday for a massive water fight.
Despite the fact that the NYPD had warned that the unregistered event would not be allowed, New Yorkers of all ages streamed onto the Great Lawn, toting everything from double-barreled Super Soakers to small but effective spray bottles.
The fight, which was organized via Facebook, went from about 2 to 5 p.m. Surprised tourists watched the chaos with confusion, while other onlookers decided to gab a water bottle and jump into the fray.
