On March 19, 2016, thousands of people gathered in Manhattan to protest against Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump. While there were plenty of clever signs — including some with the word “don,t” and more than a few inspired by Hanksy’s Trump mural — tensions rose later in the afternoon when protestors and the NYPD clashed.
