Black Lives Matter protesters gathered for a march planned for the evening of July 9, to protest the killing of black men by police around the country. The march was called just days after Alton Sterling (Louisiana) and Philando Castile (Minnesota) were gunned down by police. The hundreds-strong group traveled from the Brooklyn Bridge to Union Square, despite heavy rain that grew more intense as the night wore on.
