Any seasoned New Yorker is familiar with the seemingly endless tunnel connecting the F/M trains to the 1/2/3 line along 14th street in Manhattan. On the average day this can be a monotonous walk, but yesterday was Valentine’s Day. For the fourth consecutive year, photographer Ruvan Wijesooriya transformed this underground space into a beautiful interactive photography show called Love Tunnel NYC.
Hosting a series of work depicting the vast interpretations of love, this pop up exhibit urges viewers to take a favorite image home. While the past shows consisted solely of Ruvan’s work, this year he held an open submission and displayed pictures from over 100 artists. It was a beautiful sight to see if you were lucky enough to catch it.
