A lovely review. You nailed Ebert's gift: "Ebert wrote to let you in." I think your own writing does something similar (I've followed you over the years, and I'm delighted that you're now at the Voice).
By the way: I, too, love Bob Peak's work. His posters were frequently better than the films they advertised. Though the 1974 "Mame" is much-reviled, its poster--one of Peak's most riotously colorful--hangs on my bedroom wall. (The "Camelot" poster is also a beauty.) :)
